Spotlight 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva Side Event: “Recognizing Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as a Chronic and Notifiable Condition: Advancing the Global Health Agenda”
CTRC is delighted to spotlight this side event: “Recognizing TBI as a Chronic and Notifiable Condition” taking place during the 78th World Health Assembly on Wednesday, 21 May 2025, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Novotel Geneva Centre, Geneva, Switzerland.
This event is presented in partnership with the G4 alliance, Northwest School of Medicine, University of Cambridge, Brain Injury Canada, Global Neuroscience Nurses, the Canadian Traumatic Brain Injury Research Consortium (CTRC), and others. It is the result of a global initiative to recognize TBI as a chronic and notifiable condition, led by the G4 Alliance, CTRC, and the ABSI group of NIHR Cambridge.
A dedicated TBI Working Group has recently been launched to advance this effort. Its mission is to promote standardized reporting, improve data collection, and ensure global accountability in addressing TBI as a major public health issue. The working group brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, and patient advocates to drive this agenda forward.
