Dr Carolyn Emery new co-Chair of the CTRC
In accordance with our Terms of Reference, Dr. Jamie Hutchison has recently stepped down from his role as co-Chair of the CTRC Executive Committee. We extend our sincere gratitude to him as one of the founders of the CTRC, and for his unwavering commitment, numerous contributions to the consortium and our community, and his leadership in advancing traumatic brain injury research.
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Carolyn Emery as our new co-Chair of the CTRC. Dr. Emery is a Professor at the University of Calgary and an internationally recognized researcher whose work has significantly advanced the prevention of concussion and sport-related injuries, particularly among youth athletes. Her research, at the intersection of public health, clinical science, and epidemiology, has led to major progress in understanding and preventing traumatic brain injury.
Dr. Emery will serve alongside Dr. Turgeon as co-Chairs of our consortium.
