Dr. Scott Ramsay, a member of Métis Nation BC, is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia (UBC), having completed his PhD in Nursing (UBC, 2023). His research focus includes: access and utilization of the healthcare system for children and adolescents with a concussion, with a strong focus on injury prevention. As a primary focus of this work, he primarily focuses on equity-deserving groups. Currently, he is a member of the Research Leadership Council at the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute and co-lead of the Indigenous Child Health Knowledge Super Hub. Dr. Ramsay works clinically as a nurse clinician in outpatient neurology at BC Children’s Hospital.
