Dr. Marie-Julie Potvin, Ph.D., is a neuropsychologist and a professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Québec in Montréal (UQAM). She is also a research affiliate at the CIUSSS NIM research center and co-director of the Cognitive Neuroscience Research Center at UQAM (NeuroQAM). She leads the Neurotrauma Laboratory, where her research focus primarily on cognitive recovery following a traumatic brain injury (TBI). She notably created and validated the EXACT (EXAmen Cognitif abrégé en Traumatologie), a tool specifically designed to assess early cognitive functioning after a TBI. This tool is increasingly being used by clinicians and researchers around the world, and a pediatric version is currently under validation.
