Mollayeva, Tatyana

Tatyana Mollayeva, PhD, MD, is a scientist at the KITE Research Institute University Health Network (UHN) and an assistant professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health (University of Toronto) with cross appointments at the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute and the Occupational Science & Therapy of the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto (Toronto, Ontario).

Dr. Mollayeva obtained her medical degree at the Sechenov University (Moscow, Russia) and completed a residency in epidemiology at the Turkmen State Medical University (Turkmenistan), after which she practiced in the field of infectious disease prevention. She completed her PhD at the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute and the collaborative program in neuroscience at the University of Toronto. Most recently, Dr. Mollayeva completed the Atlantic Fellowship for Equity in Brain Health at the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI; University of California at San Francisco and Trinity College Dublin). Her research focuses on the development of prevention of brain injury and neurological disorders at the person and population levels.  She holds a Canada Research Chair in Neurological Disorders and Brain Health (Tier 2).
