Dr. Lauren Lattimer is an Associate Professor at Acadia University in the School of Kinesiology. Dr. Lattimer teaches primarily in the fields of Athletic Therapy and Human Anatomy and is the Practicum co-ordinator for the Accredited Athletic Therapy Program. She completed her PhD at the University of Saskatchewan, her MSc at Indiana State and her BSc at the University of Utah. Dr. Lattimer is a Certified Athletic Therapist and a Certified Athletic Trainer (USA).
Broadly, her research interests are focused on neuromuscular and biomechanical factors contributing to injury. Her research interests interest pertaining to concussion include objective assessments of postural control and cervical spine, and concussion injury prevention. Her research aims to promote clinical knowledge of risk factors related to injury that will help clinicians in assessing and screening individuals. Lauren’s interests also aim to highlight sex-based differences in concussion risk factors and recovery to guide neuromuscular training interventions and rehabilitation programs.
