Fait, Phil

Phil Fait is a certified athletic therapist, professor and researcher at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR). He has been involved with elite athletes at many levels from high school varsity to international competitions. He is interested in examining residual locomotor alterations in people who have sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI). He is presently working on developing valid assessment techniques for return-to-function in kids and adolescent athletes, as well as workers who have sustained a mild TBI and he is also currently developing a driving training protocol program in a driving simulator environment for people who have failed their driving license exam after sustaining a TBI. One of his main goals is to develop an ecologically valid assessment tool (within specific sports or work environments) to prevent kids and adolescents from returning to function (school, sports) too soon after brain injury, and thus helping to avoid the deleterious effects of cumulative TBI.
